PRBC Discipleship Ministry

“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20, ESV

Discipleship is a priority at Pleasant Ridge, as we take Jesus’ command to “make disciples” seriously. Discipleship can take place in many different venues: from the pulpit, in Sunday School classes, small groups, and in “one-on-one” mentoring meetings.

As part of our commitment to discipleship, Pleasant Ridge has set aside our 5:00 Sunday evening programming time for discipleship classes at the church.  Each semester, beginning in September and January, Pleasant Ridge offers a slate of classes to facilitate spiritual growth and discipleship in individuals.

“MasterLife”, led by our pastor, is foundational to our spiritual growth program. MasterLife helps individuals grow in some basic commitments of personal discipleship, including: spending time each day in God’s word and prayer, scripture memory, fellowship with believers, and praying for and witnessing to the lost.

Other discipleship classes are also scheduled each semester, offering a range of choices to help individuals grow spiritually.  Examples of classes that have been offered are: Made to Crave, Dare to Discipline, Radical, and Celebrate Recovery
